The Transitional Living Program (TLP) at ML4U2 equips homeless youth ages 14 through 21 years old with the skills and education necessary to become independent, productive adults. The program’s goal is to help formerly homeless youth develop much-needed independent living skills in a nurturing environment that offers stability, consistency and safety. Created for older teens who truly have no other resources, the program provides:
•Shelter (up to two years) and basic necessities like food and clothing
•Medical and dental care
•Psychological assessments and mental health services
•Job aptitude evaluation and career planning services
•Life skills training
•Assistance locating and leasing apartments
Youth can move through the program at their own pace and retain access to counseling and case management services even after exiting ML4U2.
